Career prospects for medical assistants in Idaho are very good. In order to choose a school to become a medical assistant, it is recommended that students investigate at least five different options, more if possible. This will give them the opportunity to review which ones best match their financial capabilities and personal interests. Presently, there are more than five schools that students could pick from. These are all officially accredited and most offer some form of financial aid to help students with tuition and other expenses.

Once certified, medical assistants can earn around $14 per hour. There are currently some 2,300 people employed as medical assistants in Idaho, which is well below the national average. This indicates a shortage of people for this particular field. Additionally, it was known from the latest research of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics that demand for medical assistants will continue to grow.
